Vivid Sydney is back for 2025 and it is stunning! With the city lighting up, there’s one question that always comes up: “what’s to eat during Vivid this year?” Whether you’re after a fancy dinner with a view of the Sydney harbour or just want something quick and tasty from a food truck, we’ve got you covered.

1. Aster Bar, Intercontinental Sydney at Circular Quay

If you’re looking to start your Vivid night with something a little fancy, Aster is a great choice. This rooftop bar at the InterContinental Sydney has some of the best views in the city, with a clear look over Circular Quay and all the action below.

You can either drop in for a cocktail before hitting the light trails, or go all in with their Vivid special dining experience. It’s $169 per person and includes a welcome cocktail, matching canapés, entrée, main, and two glasses of wine.

2. Zushi, Barangaroo

Zushi is a sleek, smart-casual spot that’s perfect if you’re after modern Japanese food during your Vivid night out. Recently renovated, the space feels new and inviting, with a Barangaroo buzz.

For Vivid, they’re offering a couple of special menu items including a vibrant sashimi special and a colourful berries and cream dessert to finish things off on a sweet note.

3. Lotus Dumpling Bar, Barangaroo

If you’re heading to Vivid around Barangaroo and craving something tasty and fun, Lotus Dumpling Bar is your next-spot. They’re known for modern Chinese dishes with bold flavours, and for Vivid, they’ve added a few playful twists to the menu.

Their Vivid specials include colourful crab and prawn dumplings, vivid-themed cocktails, and a fried pandan ice cream for dessert. It’s a relaxed spot with great atmosphere, ideal for sharing plates with friends before diving back into the lights.

4. Food Park, Barangaroo

When you’re wandering through Vivid Sydney, Food Park at Barangaroo is the perfect spot to take five and treat yourself. One highlight is the Blacklight Dessert Lab, serving the neon-lit desserts from soft-serves to cheese cakes and donuts.
